HISTORY: It all started back when I was about 16 to 17 years old in High School when I began to develop this business sense. I had very little financial backing and worked as a Civil Service Employee in the IT industry while going to High School and College full time. The event that sparked a new mindset for me was very simple. I had managed to save up a whopping $2,000.00 over the 2 years I had worked for the county and during this time I noticed a weird trend. Every single one of my friends was purchasing a Nextel direct connect telephone in school. I mean, all your heard all day long was "Beep Beep", so myself being very technically savvy decided to purchase one myself. Around this same time, is when online brokerages began to develop and something in my brain told me that Nextel was going to explode within the next few months/years. Based on what I saw around me, I got this mindset of a "sure-thing" built solidly in my head. So, being the technology geek that I was, I decided to check out Nextel Communications and the current and historical stock price on yahoo. It happened to be at an all-time low of 1.32, if I can remember the numbers correctly. Since I was not old enough to open up an online account I had my parents co-sign for me, and convinced them that I should throw all of my savings into this company, and it was a "sure-thing". Most called me crazy, heck my mother and father were extremely hesitant and calling it a very stupid move based on the information that I presented to them. Well, what do you know, some say luck, some say my word "sure-thing" did have some validity after all. But, that stock price over the next two years eventually rose very close to 30.00 and inevitably a few years ago merged with Sprint to create the cellular conglomerate that we have today. So, you had a 20 year old kid with over 33,000.00 in his bank account from simply making a solid investment decision with his 2000.00 life savings. It was the day that I cashed out on that investment is when I said to myself, this is the only strategy that I am going to follow for the rest of my life. I will only invest or work in a company that is going to be a "sure-thing" and without allowing my brain to get that feeling, I will opt out of the investment completely. But, if I do decide to enter into whatever company or market it may be, I put my heart and soul into what is required to make that company a success as you can tell by the few operations that I am currently running. They all remain in the green to this day and I am happy to say that I am in a very comfortable place and enjoying the businesses and markets that I currently maintain. My goal today with Strippoli Asset Management & Marketing is to continue using the "sure-thing" mindset building contacts and helping new start up companies develop through marketing and the internet, as well as re-structuring and consulting existing businesses. I was the first person in the world to complete a full scale review on the Mtron 16GB Professional Solid State Drive.
